Many thanks to Alfred Akers for providing many of these pictures

This is our group, caravanning to Virginia Highland Havens
.

4 of us met at the I-77 rest stop to form our caravan
.

We reach our destination
.

Of course some of us needed to go out for supplies. Here was one of my sources.
.

One of our adventures was to travel to nearby winery and restaurant "Chateau Morrisette"
.

This is a view of the Restaurant

What trip to a winery would be complete without a wine tasting event?
.

We raise a glass to those of you who were unable to attend. (You can see how badly we feel for you!)
.

After we survived the wine tasting, it was time to enjoy some supper.
.

This was my selection for desert
.

There was a very nice view from the back side of the restaurant.
.

Nice to know the rules for pets at the reataurant.
.

With our bellies full of wine and food, it was time to return to the trucks
.

On our way back, we stopped at a roadside rest to enjoy the view
.

The rest stop had a map of the trail system available at that location
.

It was a good time to take a few pictures. Alfred and Erna Akers were there.
.

President Wayne and Lady Carroll Barth Enjoyed the view also.
.

Then it was time to mount our sturdy rides and head back to camp.
.

The ride offered beautiful views.
.

One of our events was to head out to dinner and enjoy a little Italian food
.

A couple of pictures of our Italian dinner
.

This was us at a stop on our caravan going to Highland Havens
.

We had a visitor stop by the campground during our stay
.

We all got together to enjoy some breakfast at President Barth's camper one morning (Pot Luck)
.

The view looking behind the campsites. Just some personal storage and beautiful woods.
.

Sunset at Highland Havens
.

Sometimes we gathered together for a little relaxation and fellowship
.

Eventually it was time to hook up and head out. Alfred and Erna were headed into the path of the full solar eclipse.
